There has been a darts team at the pub for many years although in that time many players have come and gone. In the olden days, most of the darts players were people who worked on the nearby farms. For that reason, the Dragon has only ever entered a Gents Darts team in the winter league as the farmers would be too busy working during the summer months to play darts. This constraint no longer applies since nowadays the professions of the team members are much more varied and include builders, a welder, an engineer, an electrician, a quantity surveyor, a garage mechanic, a local government officer, a business analyst and a kitchen salesman to name a few.

The Team plays in the Salisbury and District Darts League (in aid of the Wiltshire Blind). In the 2000/2001 season, the team were promoted to Division Two and found the going a bit tough. The number of teams in the league is forever dwindling however so if the Dragon hang on long enough they may get to the top of the league by being the only team left!

In addition, there is a knockout cup competition which takes place through the course of the season. Previous years qualifying rounds have been kind to the Dragon. Despite this, the Team have not been able to reach the final in recent memory. This years competition is a straight knockout so the Dragon has no chance.
