The Doubles
Tony and Paul lost, Geoff and Peachey won, Martin T and Rich won, Simon and Horse lost. Losing 7 - 5.
The Fours
Won both fours. Winning 7 - 9.
The Eight
Lost eight. (Lost match 10 - 9. Therefore only 1 point).
I know, lets all blame Martin H, our absent captain! Where was his usual organization, drive, enthusiasm, shouting, moaning and all round general leadership. I'll tell you where - on a beach in Lanzarote. So its all his fault.
Even Paul lost his first single of the season - that usual banker point would have won us the match.
Can't really blame that though, we were all useless all night, particularly in a pitiful gallon. I don't have the stats but I reckon we averaged about 26 (and we still nearly won it!).
I really can't be bothered to write anymore on a dismal performance. We were useless, we deserved to lose, and we did. God help us when our Captain finds out.
