Dragon's Hart Attack!
Simon back on the spot again says
Oh yes, revenge is sweet. Against the team that beat us at our place with only 7 players, the Dragon returns emphatically to winning ways after a couple of indifferent weeks.
The Singles
Tony won, Paul won, Peachey lost, Rich won, Horse won, Geoff lost, Simon won, Martin H lost. (Leading 5-3).
The Doubles
Tony and Paul won, Peachey and Rich won, Horse and Geoff won, Simon and Martin H won. (Leading 9-3).
The Fours
Won both fours. (Leading 13-3).
The Eight
Won eight (won match 16-3. Another 3 pointer!).
Our biggest win of the season (apart from the 2 drubbings we dished out to the Tollgate of course). Only Geoff, Peachey and Martin H failed to win all their legs.
Rich continues to impress this season - a 90 get out secured his double with Peachey, and he also got out in the eights (although we had already secured all three points in the second 4).
A mention for the food they supplied at the end - probably the best of the season!
Only three matches to go. Can we still win the league? I think we will need some other results to go our way i.e. the Dusthole & Pheasant need to lose a couple. However a top 3 spot is almost assured - another trip to the awful medal ceremony!
